On the way to it, you will also pass Har ki Doon valley, Ruinsara lake, and Osla village. After reaching you will see the real beauty of nature. Short Itinerary

DAY 1: Dehradun to Sankri

Altitude: 6,400 ft.

Distance: 144.6 km (drive)

Time: 10 hours

Your journey will start at Railway Station, Dehradun. After reaching Sankri, you will stay in the guest house. Do keep your warm clothes with you.

DAY 2: Sankri to Seema via Taluka

Altitude: 6,400ft to 8,500ft via 6,700ft

Distance: 12km (Drive from Sankri to Taluka) & 12km (Trek from Taluka to Seema)

Time: 1 hour (drive) & 7-8 hours trek

You will trek via forests covered with Deodar trees and several wildflowers. You will stay in tents after reaching Seema.

DAY 3: Seema to Rainbasera

Altitude: 8,500ft to 10,200ft.

Distance: 10 km

Time: 6-7 hours trek

The grade of the trek ranges from moderate to difficult. You will get to see the mesmerizing view of Kala Nag. Stay in a tent overnight.

DAY 4: Rainbasera to Ruinsara Tal

Altitude: 10,200ft to 11,800ft

Distance: 7 km trek

Time: 4-5 hours trek

The level of trek is moderate. The tal is located between meadows and beautiful rhododendron flowers. You will also see a beautiful waterfall. Set up your tent and stay overnight amidst beautiful surroundings.

DAY 5: Ruinsara Tal to Odari

Altitude: 11,800ft to 13,100ft.

Distance: 4 km trek

Time: 3-4 hours

While on the way to this trek you will be able to see an amazing Swargarohini peak.

DAY 6: Odari to Bali col camp

Altitude: 13,100ft to 15,100ft

Distance: 5 km

Time: 6-7 hours

This day's trek will be steep in nature. Stay in tents overnight.

DAY 7: Bali col camp to Lower Dhamni via Bali Pass

Altitude: 15,100ft to 11,100ft. via 16,200ft

Distance: 14 km

Time: 10-11 hours

Steep Ascent. You will be able to see peaks like Bandarpoonch, Kalanag, Ruinsara. You must follow the instructions given by your guide. You will be in tents overnight.

DAY 8: Lower Dhamni to Jaan ki Chatti and drive to Dehradun

Altitude: 8,500ft.

Distance: 8 km

Time: 4-5 hours

This day you will find the trek easy. Also, you will get back to Dehradun on this day.

Detail Itinerary

Day 1: Dehradun to Sankri (6,400ft)

Your first day will start at Dehradun Railway Station. You will drive for just about 10 hours to arrive at Sankri. Sankri town lies in the scope of Govind Wildlife Sanctuary, Uttarkashi. In transit from Dehradun to Sankri, you will cross different wonderful landscapes of nature. You will partake in this excursion. You will go over Kempty Waterfalls, Nainbagh, and some more. The town is encircled by a few pinnacles like Swargrohini and more.

In the wake of arriving at Sankri, you will begin feeling the genuine frenzy and energy for the impending journey. In the event that you reach early, you might investigate the town. You will see a few houses comprised of mud, dhabas that serve conventional food, local people in customary outfits, and considerably more. You will remain in the visitor house for the time being.

Day 2: Sankri to Seema via Taluka (6,400ft to 8,500ft via 6,700ft)

After breakfast at the guest house, you will drive to Taluka. Upon reaching Taluka, your trek will begin. The trail follows the Supin River, with many natural sights along the way. You will pass several bridges made of wood and concrete before arriving at an open ground after some distance.

As you continue, you will reach Ghangad Village, where you can experience the warm hospitality of the locals. After crossing a picturesque path with dhabas and water streams, you will reach Osla Village, a well-known tourist spot. From here, it will take around an hour to reach Seema. Along the way, you’ll encounter diverse flora and fauna. At Seema, you will set up camp and rest overnight in tents.

Day 3: Seema to Rainbasera (8,500ft to 10,200ft)

On Day 3, your journey will take you to Rainbasera, following the Supin River. You will first pass Debshu Bugyal, a large meadow perfect for a short rest. As you continue along the steep trail, you’ll get a breathtaking view of Oslo town behind you.

Debshu Bugyal is vast, and you will be able to rest here. From this spot, you can also see the peaks like Kala Nag. The path ahead is quite tricky, so it is important to walk with caution and follow your guide’s instructions. You will face a steep ascent, but eventually, you will reach Rainbasera, your campsite for the day. Set up camp and enjoy your time with your fellow trekkers overnight in tents.

Day 4: Rainbasera to Ruinsara Tal

Day 4 offers a delightful trek, leading you to the stunning Ruinsara Tal. As you walk, you will encounter glaciers and streams, adding to the beauty of the surroundings. The Ruinsara Tal campsite is known for its stunning beauty, surrounded by meadows and snow-capped peaks.

From Ruinsara Tal, you can see magnificent peaks like Bandarpoonch, Kala Nag, and White Peak. The Yamunotri temple is also located nearby, providing a chance to explore and enjoy the breathtaking views of this area.

Day 5: Ruinsara Tal to Odari (11,800ft to 13,100ft)

On Day 5, you’ll embark on a short trek to Odari, which is a 4 km hike through forests and across streams. The path becomes steep, but you’ll soon arrive at a meadow offering spectacular views of the surrounding higher peaks.

Once you reach Odari, which means “Cave,” you will see a natural stone cave. The area offers a chance to explore and rest. Your guide might also give some instructions to help you with future treks. Stay in Odari overnight in tents.

Day 6: Odari to Bali Col Camp (13,100ft to 15,100ft)

On Day 6, the trek from Odari to Bali Col Camp will take you through a steep, difficult path. The climb is challenging, with loose rocks along the way, so caution is key. Be sure to keep your water bottles filled and take proper precautions.

You will be trekking to a high altitude, offering a new adventure and experience. It can get very cold at night, so make sure to carry warm clothes to stay comfortable while camping in tents for the night.

Day 7: Bali Col Camp to Lower Dhamni via Bali Pass

Day 7 is the highlight of your Bali Pass trek, as you reach Lower Dhamni via Bali Pass. Begin the day by fueling up for an exciting trek filled with snow-covered terrain. After about 2-3 hours of hiking, you will reach the top of the pass, where you will be rewarded with panoramic views of Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch, and other Garhwal peaks, along with the Yamunotri Valley on the right.

This is a perfect spot for taking pictures of the breathtaking scenery. After taking in the views, the descent begins, which can be a thrilling experience. However, be cautious while descending as the snow-covered path can be slippery. Follow your guide closely and stay alert.

After some rest, the journey to Lower Dhamni continues. This portion of the trek is simple and straight, passing through beautiful forests. Eventually, you will reach your campsite, where you will camp for the last night of your Bali Pass trek.

Day 8: Lower Dhamni to Jaan Ki Chatti and Drive to Dehradun

Day 8 marks the end of your trek. You will trek from Lower Dhamni to Jaan Ki Chatti, a scenic area with downhill terrain. After reaching the campsite, the final journey takes you back to Dehradun.

Note

Normally, Trek Shrek expects you to carry your personal luggage on your own. If you wish to offload your backpack, you can give it to a Mule.

Charges for Offloading Backpack:

  • INR 1200/- if you make an online payment, 10 days in advance
  • INR 1500/- if you inform us after reaching Sankri

The backpack cannot weigh more than 11 kgs. The backpack should have a waterproof cover. Suitcases/strolleys/bags will not be allowed.

To Book Rupin Pass Trek / Adventure Program

Please use our online booking form or, alternatively, you can call us on the given number for confirmation. To confirm your tour, you need to wire a deposit and an initial deposit.

Paying the Trek / Adventure Activity Fee:

The fee can be paid via online transfer, check deposit, or demand draft. Instructions for payment will be forwarded along with your confirmation email. Once your transfer is done, please e-mail us a confirmation with your transfer details, so that we can follow up your reservation efficiently.

When to Book:

It is wise to make your booking at least two months in advance. However, if you want a good deal on your domestic/international flight, we recommend organizing your trip at least five months in advance. (Please contact us if you require a late booking.)

Terms for Cancellation & Refund

Customers are required to make full payment in advance for confirmed bookings. In case a confirmed booking needs to be canceled, the following refund policies apply:

  • Prior 30 days of the confirmed date, 50% of the total amount will be refunded.
  • Prior 25 days of the confirmed date, 40% of the total amount will be refunded.
  • Prior 20 days of the confirmed date, 30% of the total amount will be refunded.
  • Prior 15 days of the confirmed date, 20% of the total amount will be refunded.
  • Prior 10 days of the confirmed date, 10% of the total amount will be refunded.

Note: After the said time, Trek Shrek will not entertain any cancellations, and no amount will be refunded whatsoever.
